The first work - Deer, To Me - was originally created by Gruneberg and performed in 2010. A piece for five dancers and three video projectors, with an electronic score composed by Patrik Phalen, Deer, To Me layers video texturing, movement, and sound to create an environment both immersive and magical.  The surreal environment splinters the audience's focus between screen and stage, furthering the question of how and where the "real" occurs, as the soft and earthly Deer is pursued by the hard and angular Hunter.
The work will be performed by Megan Bascom, Jonathan Ciccarelli, Emily Maurer, Hanna Olvera, and Julie Turner.  The piece features lighting design by Brigette Hutchison.
The second dance piece - North Country - represents the eighth evening-length work by Gruneberg and white road Dance Media. A quartet with an original score by pianist and composer Justin Sherburn, North Country examines the collective home environment in flux.  Utilizing intricately patterned

movement, dynamic duet forms and stark, open staging, the piece investigates the changing concept of home and where people choose to exist.
Exploring the themes of domesticity, comfort and shelter, North Country will also be performed by Bascom, Ciccarelli, Maurer, and Olvera.  Hutchison again creates the lighting design, with costume design by Leah Mulartrick.
Tickets are $15 for general admission, $12 for students and seniors, and $10 per person for groups of five or more.  The George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center is located at 1165 Angelina Street.  For more information, call (512) 573-2540 or visit www.WhiteRoadDanceMedia.com.
