The Long Center for the Performing Arts
Nickelodeon and
Broadway Across America will bring the national touring
production of Storytime Live! to The Long Center on August 18th
and 19th. The first-ever live family theatrical
tour - featuring characters from the current top-rated
preschool television shows "Dora the Explorer,"
"The Backyardigans," "The Wonder Pets!" and
"Ni Hao, Kai-lan" - brings to life favorite Nick Jr.
characters in one on-stage adventure, hosted by Nick Jr.'s
Moose A. Moose and Zee.
Each segment of
Storytime Live! takes kids and their families on a different
adventure, whether leaping into Fairytale Land with Dora and
Sleeping Boots, journeying through Filthingham with The
Backyardigans, hopping into Wonderland with the Wonder Pets, or
jumping on clouds with Kai-lan and the Monkey King. In
addition to the Austin tour stop, the production will visit
more than 70 cities in 2010.
The show's creative team
includes veterans from Broadway and national tours. In
addition, the creative teams for each of the featured Nick Jr.
television shows helped write and guide the production.
Performances are at 7 p.m.
on August 18th and and 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on August 19th.
