Kathy Griffin
January 7th
The Long Center for the Performing Arts

She's back!  If multiple HBO and Bravo specials weren't enough, Austinites have another chance to catch double Emmy Award-winning comedienne and actress Kathy Griffin on January 7th in Dell Hall at The Long Center.  She returns with more stories, more dish and more of what she shouldn't say - but you know you want to hear.
The two-time Emmy Award winner and Grammy Award-nominated Chicago native is a multi-faceted performer with a rapid fire wit.  Best known for her four-year stint on the NBC sitcom "Suddenly Susan" as "Vickie Groener" and her long-running television show "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List," Griffin also is well known for her controversial statements.
After moving west and joining the famed Los Angeles Groundlings comedy improvisational troupe, Griffin began building her resume with guest starring roles on such series as "ER" and "Seinfeld."  After her various television guest spots, she began gaining notice as a stand-up comedienne and landed her own "HBO Half Hour Comedy Special." In 1998, HBO gave Griffin her own one-hour special, "A Hot Cup of Talk."
Griffin performs at 8 p.m. on January 7th.  Tickets are now available at The Long Center's 3M Box Office, located at 701 West Riverside Drive at South First Street, by calling 474-LONG (5664) and online at www.TheLongCenter.org.
