Jersey Boys
Broadway Across America
August 18th through September 18th
Bass Concert Hall

Broadway Across America and Texas Performing Arts at the University of Texas at Austin launch the 2010-11 H.E.B. Broadway Series - Austin with the Austin premiere of Jersey Boys.  The multi-award winning musical plays Bass Concert Hall from August 18th through September 18th.
Directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, the hit musical won the 2006 Tony Award for "Best Musical," the 2006 Grammy Award for "Best Musical Show Album," and the 2009 Olivier Award for "Best New Musical."  The show continues to break box office records on Broadway and across North America.
Written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, Jersey Boys features music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.  The story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons - Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi - explores how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time.
Jersey Boys opened at the August Wilson Theatre on Broadway in November 2005, and the national tour debuted in San Francisco in December 2006.  Currently, six productions of the musical are in production - in New York, London, Las Vegas, Toronto, Melbourne, Australia, and the U.S. National tour.
Performances for the Austin stop run Tuesday through Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Sunday at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with an additional matinee on Thursday, August 19th at 2 p.m.  Tickets start at $30.
Bass Concert Hall is located at 2350 Robert Dedman Drive on the University of Texas campus.  Tickets are on sale now at the Bass Concert Hall box office, all Texas Box Office Outlets, by phone at (512) 477-6060, and online at www.BroadwayAcrossAmerica.com.
