Hamlet
February 10th through March 3rd
Sam Bass Community Theatre

Treachery, madness, and murder will abound when William Shakespeare's masterwork Hamlet plays the Old Depot Stage in Round Rock.  Performances run February 10th through March 3rd.
Something is rotten in Denmark - a king is dead.  His brother, Claudius, has snatched the throne and the widowed queen. The prince Hamlet has fixated on his uncle as the murderer, after being charged by his father's ghost to avenge the wrong.  Disconnected from the foul world around him, Hamlet strains under the weight of his task.
Directed by Lynn S. Beaver, the production features Kevin Scholtes in the title role, with Frank Benge as "Claudius," Dyann Green as "Ophelia," Gene Storie as "Polonius," Justin Elliot as "Laertes," Justin Chernivec as "Horatio" and Susan Dickson as "Gertrude."  The cast also includes Linda Myers, Veronica Prior, Nathaniel Reid, Anthony Bain, Chandra Vargas, Jeff Mulligan, Michael Vohs and Ken Ramsey.  Set Design is by Kevin Scholtes, with costume design by Veronica Prior.
Performances run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $18 for general admission and $15 for seniors and students.  Tickets are $20 for the opening night gala performance.
The Sam Bass Community Theatre is located at 600 Lee Street in Round Rock's Memorial Park.  For reservations and more information, call (512) 300-9254 or visit www.SamBassTheatre.org.
