Gaither Homecoming Tour 2010
September 9th
Cedar Park Center

The "Gaither Homecoming Tour 2010" kicks off its coast-to-coast contemporary gospel music tour with a one-night concert in Central Texas.  The legendary gospel family will be joined by rising stars for the tour-launching concert on Thursday, September 9th at the Cedar Park Center.
For almost half a century, multiple Grammy and Dove Award winner Bill Gaither has remained a trailblazing performer, songwriter, and mentor for newly-discovered artists world-wide.  His series of "Homecoming" CDs and DVDs continue to top the charts.
Gaither formed his first group - the Bill Gaither Trio, consisting of his sister Mary Ann and brother Danny - in 1956 while a college student at Anderson College.  Following years of trying to manage both a music career and a full-time job as an English teacher, he quit his teaching job in 1967 and worked full time in the Christian music industry.  He recorded "He Touched Me" in 1964, which became his breakthrough song.
The roster of "Homecoming" performers joining Gaither for the tour include the Gaither Vocal Band, The Martins, and Karen Peck and New River.  Throughout the tour, various other artist - include Jason Crabb, Collingsworth Family, and Jeff Taylor - will appear on specific dates in specific cities.
Tickets for the Austin concert are $31 and $41.  For more information and tickets, call 1 (800) 745-3000, or visit online at www.CedarParkCenter.com.
