Experience Hendrix Concert Tour
March 24th and 25th

     Due to overwhelming demand, the 2012 Experience Hendrix concert tour will be playing a second show on March 25th at 8 p.m. when the tour stops at Austin City Limits Live.   The concert tour is coming features an all-star lineup of musical greats paying homage to the songs, showmanship and trailblazing technique of Jimi Hendrix in celebration for his 70th birthday year.
       This year's tour will include performances by Billy Cox, David Hidalgo and Cesar Rosas, Jonny Lang, Eric Johnson, Robert Randolph, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Dweezil Zappa, Brad Whitford, The Slide Brothers and Mato from Indigenous.  Taj Mahal will replace the previously-announced Robby Krieger, with more special guests to be announced soon.
      Experience Hendrix bassist Billy Cox - who first befriended Hendrix in the 101st Airborne Division of U.S. Army - played in both the Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsys.   He also performed with Hendrix at such landmark festivals as Woodstock and the Isle of Wight.
     "It's a thrill for me to play Jimi's music for audiences now as it was in the 1960s," Cox said.
     Tickets for both the March 24th and 25th performances are $35 to $95, and are available in store at Waterloo Records, by phone at 877-4FLYTIX and online at www.ACL-Live.com.  The Moody Theatre is located at 310 W. Willie Nelson Blvd, also known as downtown's 2nd Street.
