Christopher Cross
August 13th
One World Theatre
Christopher Cross was
far and away the biggest new star of 1980, virtually defining
adult contemporary radio with a series of smoothly
sophisticated ballads. The artist plays two shows at One
World Theatre on Friday, August 15th.
His self-titled debut
featured four chart-topping hits - "Ride Like the
Wind," "Sailing," "Never Be the Same,"
and "Say You'll Be Mine" - making him a bonafide
superstar. This status was cemented when he walked off
with a record-setting five Grammy Awars in 1981, including
“Best New Artist” and “Song of the
Year.”
Cross also earned an
Academy Award for his song, "Arthur's Theme (Best That You
Can Do)," from the movie, Arthur
starring Dudley Moore.
Christopher Cross
performs on August 13th at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets
are $20, $45, and $60.
Pre-concert dinners
served by World of Mouth Catering on the theatre’s
picturesque Piazza 90 are also available for an additional $35.
Doors open one hour early with half price drink specials
available at the bar prior to the show.
