Who is T. Henry Baudecliffe?
Saturdays in July and August
Hideout Theater

On Saturdays in July and August, the cast of the Hideout Theatre will inhabit the world of T. Henry Baudecliffe, the troubled and prolific artist, who passed away at St. Mark's Community Home of North Austin last year.  Baudecliff left behind thousands of pages of manuscript and illustrations for children's books, which will be the source material for the new production.
Baudecliff's stories feature tall tales of youngsters who triumph over corruption and evil through simplicity, moxie, and virtue.  The tales are "uniquely filtered through the seclusive Baudecliffe's surreal, comic, and often unsettling outlook," the show's producers said.
A group of improv artists - who have become engulfed in Baudecliffe's work - will portray the further explorations of Baudecliffe's stories on the Hideout Theatre stage in dynamic multi-dimensional performances.  The Who is T. Henry Baudecliffe? shows will be peppered with details from Baudecliffe's life and creations.
Performances will run every Saturday night in July and August at 8 p.m.  Tickets are $10 for general admission and $7 for students, and will be available at the box office 30 minutes prior to showtime.
The Hideout Theatre is located at 617 Congress Avenue.  For more information and advance reservations, call (512) H-I-D-E-O-U-T (443-3688) or visit www.HideoutTheatre.com.
