Shanty Town Lake
Fridays through July
ColdTowne Theater

The comedic cast of ColdTowne Theater debuts their second main stage comedy revue - Shanty Town Lake - on April 2nd.  The mix of social and political satire with music will run every Friday night at 8 p.m. through July.
The economy is in shambles, young professionals are losing their jobs, relationships are disintegrating, and society is falling apart at the seams.  Will the new homeless mayor reform city hall in time?  Will Reagan return from the grave long enough to smite his enemies?
Shanty Town Lake features a cast of writers and performers that include multiple "Best of Austin" and B. Iden Payne Award winners, including Elizabeth Brammer, Michael Jastroch, Joshua Krilov, Rachel Madorsky, Bryan Roberts, and Justin York.  Veteran performer and former Second City director Dave Buckman directs, with Assistant Director Chris Baldenhofer.
The ColdTowne Theater serves as Austin's main stage for alternative comedy, with improv, sketch and stand up shows Thursday through Monday night.  ColdTowne's resident comedians are three-time winners of the Austin Chronicle's "Best of Austin" Readers Poll for "Best Comedy Group," and have appeared at venues across the nation.
Tickets for Shanty Town Lake are $10.  Coldtowne Theater is located at 4803-B Airport Blvd., next to I Luv Video.  For reservations and more information, call 512-524-2807 or visit www.ColdtowneTheater.com.
