The 20th annual RED HOT Party returns to Oilcan Harry's in downtown Austin on July 15th, featuring numerous Central Texas arts and entertainment groups and dignitaries. The evening of gourmet food and drink, live entertainment, and a high-end silent and live auction - all to benefit Project Transitions - fills the iconic Warehouse District nightclub from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Oilcan Harry's hosts the RED HOT Party every year to benefit Project Transitions, which provides housing and hospice for people with HIV and AIDS in Central Texas. The event features sumptuous food from Austin restaurants and caterers, signature cocktails and an elegant champagne bar, and live entertainment from several Central Texas entertainment staples.

Austin Cabaret Theatre's Stuart Moulton will take the stage at 6 p.m., followed by the cast of ZACH Theatre's summer musical, Hairspray. The evening's entertainment also includes the cast of The City Theatre's upcoming production of Hair, plus the Austin Cabaret Theatre, Austin Babtist Women, Austin City Showgirls, singer Arthur Landin, jazz songbird Ava Arenella and her band, Dallas-based entertainer Shegotta Mustache and a Las Vegas-themed revue.

The large silent auction includes numerous trips, unique dining experiences, and treasures. Arts highlights include autographed Broadway posters and Playbills along with tickets to see Michael Feinstein at Bass Concert Hall, Idina Menzel and Huey Lewis at The Long Center, A Tuna Christmas at the Paramount Theatre, and season tickets and offerings from the ZACH Theatre, Ballet Austin, Austin Symphony Orchestra, Austin Lyric Opera, Austin Cabaret Theatre and the Capital City Men's Chorus..

RED HOT has been named "Best Independent AIDS Fundraiser" by the Austin Chronicle and annually draws a stand-room-only crowd. All proceeds benefit Project Transitions, to fund AIDS and HIV education, prevention, and client services programming in Central Texas.
