Pirates of Perdenales
Austin Summer Musical
July 31st through August 7th
Boyd Vance Theatre

The annual Austin Summer Musical takes kids on an adventure this year with the original play Pirates of Pedernales.  The free show runs July 31st through August 7th at the Boyd Vance Theatre at the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center.
When four clever kids stumble across a treasure map in a museum, they embark on an adventure filled with sneaky pirates, clever challenges, and mysterious oracles.  The new show is designed for lower elementary aged children.
Each year, the Austin Summer Musical presents a fully costumed and choreographed musical, under the artistic direction of Ron Dodson.  Written, planned and performed by a board of community volunteers, the group stages ten free performances - produced for children aged three to ten - allowing 1,500 children in Central Texas to have the chance to experience live musical theatre.
Performances run July 31st and August 1st, 7th and 8th at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.  Tickets will be available at the door, starting 90 minutes before each show.
The Boyd Vance Theatre is located at 1165 Angelina Street in the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center.  For more information, call (512) 971-0810 or visit www.SummerMusical.com.
