ColdTowne Theatre
A night out can be tough -
expensive dinner and expensive drinks, not to mention expensive
parking to see an expensive parking. And then there is
the emotionally expensive street harassment by cantankerous 6th
Street hooligans.
Ditch downtown, because
every Sunday at 8:30 p.m., ColdTowne house troupe - Oh,
Science! - offers a free improv comedy show. After the
show, Oh, Science! hosts an open improv jam that anyone is
welcome to either play in or watch.
The ColdTowne Theater is
Austin's main stage for alternative comedy, with improv, sketch
and stand up shows. With performances running Thursday
through Monday, ColdTowne's resident comedians are three-time
winners of the Austin Chronicle's "Best of Austin" Readers Poll for
"Best Comedy Group" and have appeared across country
at festivals, on college campuses, and at house parties.
