The Billy Ocean/Teena Marie Confluence of 1985
Punchkin Repertory Theatre
January 25th through February 4th
Salvage Vanguard Theatre

The Billy Ocean/Teena Marie Confluence of 1985, a new play by Max Langert, will make its debut during the FronteraFest Long Fringe 2012.  The second production from Punchkin Repertory Theatre runs January 25th through February 4th at the Salvage Vanguard Theatre.
The piece centers around Allison, a young woman who is fascinated by charts and has been plotting her emotional life for the past 20 years.  She shares the ups and downs of the past, specifically focusing on her love life.  She seems to have a pattern of falling into one disappointing relationship after another, but finds her only hope lies in two love songs from the 80s - which have a seemingly karmic convergence. Directed by Lizz Taylor, the cast features Taylor and Jay McKinney.
Playwright Langert is a regular participant in the FronteraFest Short Fringe in Austin and a member of the regional Texas writers' group, ScriptWorks. Born in Oakland, California, his works have been produced in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Dallas and Nashville.
     Performances will run January 25th at 7 p.m., January 28th at 3:15 p.m., February 3rd at 7 p.m. and February 4th at 10 p.m.  Tickets are $12 for general admission.
The Salvage Vanguard Theatre is located at 2803 Manor Road.  For tickets, information, and a complete list of FronteraFest performances, visit www.FronteraFest.org.
