The United States Art Authority
     The  weekly poetry competition on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. showcases
     12 original spoken-word artists in a no-holds-barred, raucous,
     energized competition with $100 in prize money on the line.

     The Texas Highlanders join groups around the globe in a time-honored
     celebration recognizing Scotland's National Bard, Robert Burns, with a
    three-course dinner, poetry, speeches, and live musical performances.

Ruta Maya Coffee House
     Poets take the mic from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., followed by musicians
     from 9 p.m. to midnight, at the weekly open mic event at one of
     Austin’s longest-running coffee establishments.
