Improv Comedy Legend Miles Stroth Playing Two Shows This Weekend

Improv legend Miles Stroth will be joining the ColdTowne Theater crew for two performances on Saturday, July 24th.  The educator and entertainer will also be in Austin to

host a weekend of workshops.
Stroh will spin yarns and perform in the monologue-based improv comedy show Stool Pigeon at 8 p.m. on the 24th. Then at 10 p.m., he will appear with a cast of former students - The Frank Mills - performing his signature form, the Deconstruction.
A classic long form format of improvisational comedy, the Deconstruction starts with one long scene, followed by shorter scenes that connect to the first scene through characters, environment and themes. The source scene is then deconstructed and revisited.
Stroh began his study of improvisation in the Fall of 1989, when he was accepted by the famed Second City Theater in Chicago.  He was a founding member of the seminal improv team, The Family, and has performed in more than 1,000 long-form shows.
He has also created - or had a hand in creating - many of the long-forms of improv comedy that play around the country.  His has also appeared on Comedy Central's "Crossballs" and "RENO 911."
Tickets for shows are $5.  For more information and reservations, call (512) 524-2807 or visit www.ColdtowneTheater.com.
