I Hate Hamlet
January 13th through February 5th
The Palace Theatre

The historic Palace Theatre in Georgetown fights the winter blues with the comedy I Hate Hamlet, written by Paul Rudnick and directed by David Sray.  The play runs weekends from January 13th through February 5th on the Springer Memorial Stage.
I Hate Hamlet journeys into the life of hot, young television star Andrew Rally, who has been cast as "Hamlet" in a production slated to play Central Park.  But Andrew has two problems:  he hates Hamlet, and he's being haunted by the drunken ghost of actor John Barrymore - who used to live in his apartment.
Performances run Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $24 for adults, $22 for seniors, $14 for students and active military, and $10 for children.  The production contains adult themes and mild profanity.

The Palace Theatre is located at 810 South Austin Avenue in Georgetown, one half-block off the downtown square.  For more information and reservations, call (512) 869-7469 or (512) 869-5081, or visit www.TheGeorgetownPalace.org.
