The Drowsy Chaperone Extends at ZACH Theatre Through August 29th
ZACH Theatre’s
hit summer staging of the Broadway musical The Drowsy Chaperone has
been extended for an additional three weeks. Staged by
Broadway producer and director Nick Demos - who won the 2010
Tony Award winner as producer of "Best Musical"
Memphis - and starring Martin Burke (Santaland Diaries, Take Me Out), the family-friendly homage to great 1930s and 1940s
movie musicals plays through August 29th.
"In the original
Broadway production of
Burke stars as the
"Man in The Chair," along with Jill Blackwood,
Meredith McCall, Jamie Goodwin, and a cast of 23 professional
singers, dancers and musicians. Allen Robertson (The Biscuit Brothers)
serves as musical director, with choreography award-winning
Broadway veteran Robin Lewis (Fosse,
Beauty and the Beast).
Performances run
Wednesday through Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Tickets range from $20 to $49.
