ColdTowne Theatre
ColdTowne Theater is
Austin's main stage for alternative comedy, and the namesake
comedy troupe Coldtowne rules the roost every Wednesday night.
Named “Best Comedy Group” by the Austin Chronicle for
three years running, each week features a different troupe from
the repertory actors.
Originally from
from New Orleans, ColdTowne has won numerous awards for
their smart, surreal improv. Each Wednesday night,
Austinites can see the performers hold court on their own stage
with some of ColdTowne Theater's up and coming talent.
Show time for Coldtowne is
10 p.m., and admission is free. Seating is limited and
the couches go fast, so arriving at the theater at least 15
minutes before show time is highly recommended.
