PBS to Tape An Evening with Chris Isaak on February 13th at ACL Live

More than a quarter of a century into his career, Chris Isaak has finally created the album he's always wanted to make. Now, PBS will tape the An Evening with Chris Isaak concert event on Monday, February 13th, at ACL Live in support of the new album, Beyond the Sun.

As a child spinning his parents 45s in their Stockton, CA, home, Isaak became obsessed with the glory days of Memphis' Sun Studio and the visionary artists who got their starts there - including Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis. All were discovered and nurtured by the late, great Sun Records founder, Sam Phillips.

Isaak has acted on this lifelong obsession, recapturing the transformative hep-cat sound of the classic sides cut by the greats at Sun with Phillips during the mid-1950s. Isaak's first Vanguard Records, Beyond the Sun was released on October 18th.

Isaak will perform with special guest Wanda Jackson, in The Moody Theater at ACL Live, starting at 8 p.m. Tickets will be $39 to 59 and will go on sale this Friday, January 27th at noon.
