Cereal for Adults
Friday Nights
ColdTowne Theatre

Studies have shown that cereal contains 50% more sugar than it did a mere 60 years ago.  In that same time, crime rates have risen, Earth's population has become unsustainable, and M. Night Shamalan has made several movies.
Coincidence? Is it time to return to a simpler era, when breakfast actually meant something? A racist juror, a serial killer, and a few beardless cast members must heed the advice of a 150 year old orphan to find out in the new improv comedy show Cereal for Adults, playing at 8:30 p.m. on Friday nights at ColdTowne Theatre.
The theatre’s Main Stage cast returns for their fourth full-length comedy revue, offering a mix of social and political satire, music and straight up nihilistic comedy.  Helmed by veteran performer and ColdTowne Theater founder Michael Jastroch, the production features multiple “Best of Austin” and B. Iden Payne Award winners and sketch comedy veterans - including Chris Baldenhofer, Steve Donovan, Cortnie Jones, Meredith Newell, Bryan Roberts, and Brett Tribe.
The ColdTowne Theater is Austin's main stage for alternative comedy, with improv, sketch and stand up shows.  With performances running Thursday through Monday, ColdTowne's resident comedians are three-time winners of the Austin Chronicle's "Best of Austin" Readers Poll for "Best Comedy Group" and have appeared across country at festivals, on college campuses, and at house parties.
Tickets are $5 at the door.  ColdTowne Theatre is located at 4803-B Airport Blvd., next to I Luv Video.  For more information, call (512) 814-8696 or visit For more information, visit www.ColdTowneTheater.com or call (512) 524-2807.
