The University of
Texas at Austin Butler School of Music and the Blanton Museum
of Art present the seventh season of the The Bach Cantata
Project. On the last Tuesday of the month during the
academic year, U.T. faculty and student musicians present a
different Bach Cantata - along with a short description of the
work - at noon at the Blanton Art Museum, located at M.L.K.
Blvd. and Congress Avenue.
Approximately 200 of
Bach’s cantatas survive today, which is about
three-fifths of the total number he is thought to have composed
during his lifetime. Each month, a new program explores
his works.
Admission to the
concert is included with paid admission to the museum.
