At First Sight
Way Off Broadway Community Players
January 20th through February 11th
2243 Business Park in Leander

The Way Off Broadway Community Players in Leander continue their 15th season with the comedy At First Sight by Anne Pie'.  The production runs weekends from January 20th through February 11th.
Fifty-one year old Julia Goldman thought she had experienced it all.  Although she had been widowed for two years, she was left financially well-fixed with two grown children
who were busy with their successful careers.  Life was routine and uneventful in her Hollywood home, and Julia  thought she would just ease into the rest of her days without anything notable looming on the horizon.
But an accidental encounter in the cocktail lounge of a posh hotel with a man who sweeps her off her feet - and then disappears, leaves her with much more than just a fond memory.  She is no longer able to conceal her predicament.
The sibling rivalry of her children, plus her own with her flamboyant sister, Verna, add to the complexity and to the resolution of her plight.
Directe by Jo Rake, the cast features Linda Durkin, Mallory Martin, Misty Barham, Tamara Friedman, Bradley Wood, Rina Lee, Allen Gilbert and Gary Hahn.  Jeremy Mielens serves as technical consultant, with lighting design by Ron Revell and sound design by Dale Hilliard.
Performances will run Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., with a Sunday matinee on January 29th at 3 p.m.  Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for school-aged students, seniors and active-duty military with ID, and $10 for children ages six year old and younger.
The Way Off Broadway Player's new theater is located at 11880 West FM 2243 in Leander, in Building 4 of the 2243 Business Park, one mile west of Hwy. 183 and just east of Bagdad Road.  For more information and reservations, call (512) 259-5878 or visit www.WOBCP.org.
